Nature in the Gambia
This expedition is a favorite amongst nature lovers.
Embark on a motorized pirogue boat for a 1,5 hours within the narrow creek of the River.
You will have a chance to observe fishermen, oyster harvesters and the beautiful mangrove vegetation along the banks of the creeks.
After seeing these sites, we disembark from our boat at Lamin lodge and join our transport for a drive to the Abuko Nature Reserve, where guest will have the opportunity to observe the flora and fauna of The Gambia.

Abuko National Park
Abuko National Park is a nature reserve in the Gambia lying south of the town of Abuko. It is a popular tourist attraction and was the Gambia's first designated wildlife reserve.
This is a half day expedition in to the reserve, which has an amazing diversity of vegetation and animals, due to the equal emphasis that has been placed on the protection of the flora and fauna of The Gambia.
The highlight of this expedition is an 2 hour walk within the park, allowing you to experience one of the best bird-watching haunts.

Makasutu Cultural Forest
Makasutu means 'Sacred Forest in Mandinka (one of the local languages and tribes).
This 405 hectare reserve has become something of a model for eco-tourism in Africa as it is both an ecology project and a place for people to come and learn about the local culture and people.
Makasutu Forest holds within five different eco-systems, including a gallery forest,wetlands, mangroves, savannah and palm forest
The expedition involves to an 2 hour bush walk and a boat trip within the creeks.

Monkey Park & Reptile Farm
At the Monkey Park, you will have the chance to see various facets of monkeys in their natural habitat, such as the red Colobus, red Patters and the green Vavet monkey.
In Kartong village we will visit the famous reptile farm, where emphasis is on research and conservation. At the farm you can expect to see reptiles such as crocodiles, lizards, turtles and a variety of snakes.
We end our the expedition with a cooling swim at the Paradise Beach.
